Happiness Starts With Health And Good Nutrition!

One of the keys to living a truly happy, fulfilling life is having good health and good nutrition. Health is indeed the foundation of a successful, happy life. Try being happy without it! Sure, it's definitely possible if you're a Gandhi or Buddha-like spiritual master. But it's much more difficult, to say the least.

Thus, anyone who's truly interested in being happy must passionately pursue the art of being healthy - for they are intertwined within the human spirit and psyche. All great, successful people understand the importance of health.

Foundations Of Good Health

The foundations of good health, in my opinion, include good nutrition, exercise, mental, spiritual, relationships, financial, and vocational health. All of these areas are crucial to good health and happiness.

Everyone talks about balance - balancing work and family, balancing time and exercise, balancing your budget and good nutrition, etc. The truly happy and healthy person understands that there is no such thing as perfect balance! The balance changes and shifts every day - the key is to embrace the shift and be happy no matter what the balance is right now. If you're struggling financially, you may have to work harder to get by. If you're sick, you may have to spend more time resting and on spirituality or relationships.

However, there is a better balance. I think so many people get lost in day-to-day life, struggles and challenges that they forget entire areas of their health for days, then weeks, months, years and even decades! You can have health in every area of life - but you must be willing to put in the work and not forget about the foundations! Don't sacrifice healthy eating for 20 years and then try to buy your health back with medications - it doesn't work!

Focus on the foundations of good health - and you will be truly happy knowing you're living a great life.
